                    COMMUNITY EDUCATION                     

The WGTC Community Education provides individuals with high-quality non-credit training solutions that are designed for personal and professional development and enrichment. This is accomplished by offering thousands of programs and courses ranging from those designed for leisure to those designed to help prepare individuals for industry recognized certifications/licenses. Instructional delivery formats include instructor-led classroom training, instructor-assisted online training, and self-study online training.

PRE-PAYMENT PLANS

Available for courses with a registration fee of $250 or more. A $25 non-refundable setup fee will be added to your initial payment. The course registration fee must be paid in full prior to the first day of the course. Cancellations will incur an additional $25 fee. It is the responsibility of the student to make appropriate arrangements for this pre-payment plan.

WGTC does not endorse any specific providers of student loans. Below is one of many potential providers but we encourage you to research other potential options for noncredit student loans.

SALLIE MAE SMART OPTION STUDENT LOAN

Cover the Cost of Your Tuition
You may use Sallie Mae Smart Option Student Loans to cover your tuition plus up to an additional $250 to cover related expenses for courses that have a registration fee of $750-$4,999 and up to an additional $500 to cover related expenses for courses that have a registration fee of $5,000 or more.

No fees
There is no prepayment penalty.

Interest Rate
The Smart Option Student Loan has interest rates that reward good credit and are as low as Prime + 0% for borrowers with excellent credit. Interest rates are variable and reset monthly.

Repayment Options
You may take up to 15 years to repay your loan with one of the following options:
• Standard repayment option, you make level, monthly payments of principal and interest. The minimum monthly payment is $30.00.
• Interest-only repayment option, you make interest-only payments while you are in school and begin standard repayment of principal and interest once school is completed.
• Deferred repayment option, you may defer payments for up to 12 months, not to exceed the anticipated graduation date on the application. You are required to make a $10.00 monthly payment during deferment. This $10.00 payment will be toward the interest that accrues on the account during deferment. After deferment, you will begin standard repayment of principle and interest.

Who May Apply
The Smart Option Student Loan is a private, credit-based student loan for technical training or trade school, online courses, and other continuing education programs.

 

FIFTH THIRD BANK

Cover the Cost of Your Tuition
You may use Smart Option Student Loan Funded by Fifth Third Bank
to cover your tuition plus up to an additional $250 to cover related expenses for courses that have a registration fee of $750-$4,999 and up to an additional $500 to cover related expenses for courses that have a registration fee of $5,000 or more.
